Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology
I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.
I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.
Do your research and plan for your next TV
Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.
These are all premium prizes, so you must do a bit of work before you enter to win one of them. Since each of these brands provided a prize for this contest, you’ll be allowed to enter once per brand. Read the directions below carefully.
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy and you can enter once for each brand that provided a prize to this contest for a total of three unique entries: one entry about Sony, one about Samsung, and one about LG. For each entry, in a comment below, tell us
a) which new technology by that brand has you most excited about their Premium TVs this year. You can go to these articles for information about the new technology from each brand.
b) which model by that brand on the Best Buy website is your favourite (you must be precise: saying something like “any model” is not a valid response).

At the end of the contest, we will randomly select three winners from all eligible entries to receive one of the three televisions shown above.
This contest runs from June 1st to June 15th.

On the LG’s lineup of preimum TV’s, the NanoCell technology sounds like a great picture enhancement feature. The fact that it also supports Dolby Vision IQ is a plus.
The LG NanoCell 55″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV Smart TV (55NANO90UNA) is a decent sized TV with a good feature set for which I can see would meet many of our must-have criteria in a new TV.

Of the new Samsung Premium TVs, I’m leaning more towards the Samsung The Frame 65″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (model QN65LS03TAFXZC)…although the new 8K looks pretty fun too! Of the 4K model, one of the features that excites me is the multiple intelligent mode options. Like most people, we keep the TV turned off for the majority of the day, but with the intelligent modes, I’d keep the TV on more often. Having useful information pop up as I walk by, or being able to show artwork or my family photos with amazing resolution is a huge bonus!

I like the Samsung 65’’ 4K QLED QN65Q80TAFXZC. I like how they have concentrated led blacklit zone to make the picture more focused . But anytime tv would be better than the one I have since I don’t even have a smart tv !
My favourite Sony TV right now is the 65″ BRAVIA OLED A8H 4K HDR (model XBR65A8H). Beside it being a SmartTV, the pixel booster and Acoustic Surface Audio has me really excited.

I love the Samsung Frame for how incredibly well it reproduces art by adjusting the screen brightness and contrast. It actually looks like artwork, rather than a static image on a monitor.
LG’s NVIDIA G-SYNC makes me wonder what gaming would look like on such a big screen! And I think that that NanoCell 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV Smart TV (65NANO90UNA) would be just grand!
