Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Which one are you dying to add to your collection?

Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

Boost your Star Wars collection with one contest entry

Few people have the dedication, and the good fortune, to have a large collection of Star Wars toys. Enter this contest and that will change. We will give away 2 great collections of this year’s new Star Wars toys as shown here:

Each of these prize packages has intelligent droids, exciting and fun drones, and the just announced, augmented reality wonder: Jedi Challenges—I bet this will be the hottest new toy for Christmas this year!

How to enter

As with all contests on the Best Buy blog, entering is easy. You can enter only once. In a comment below this article, tell us which one of the Star Wars toys in this contest prize is your favourite and why (you must tell us why it’s your favourite).

What you can win

We will randomly choose 2 winners from all eligible entries. One person will be awarded Prize A shown above, and the other will be awarded Prize B. Each prize is worth approximately $1880.

This contest runs from October 20th until November 2nd, 2017.

Remember you can only enter once. With prizes this fantastic, I suggest you increase your chances by telling all of your friends and family to enter too, and propose if any of your win you share the prize! Use the share buttons below to easily post the contest on your social channels.

Good Luck!

  1. As much as I would love the smart watches (and that Tie Fighter drone!!!), I would say the Little Bits Droid Builder kit would be my favourite. It is something I could bring to my niece when she gets a bit older and put together with her. I’ve always been a bit of a tinkerer myself, and with any luck, she might even enjoy it, possibly planting the seeds of a career path for her adult life. Plus, of course, I want her to love Star Wars as much as I do, lol.

  2. Would love to win the BB8 RC for my 6year old son. It’s one of his favourite characters,he has a BB8 little suitcase he plays around the house with

  3. All these prizes are a Star Wars fan’s dream! I think my favourite would be the Vtech Stormtrooper Smart watch because of the sound effects it makes, the games and different themes. Knowing what time it is is pretty cool as well. Thanks for the chance I would love to win this!

  4. Although I love B.B-8 and R2-D2 I have to admit I have quite the fascination with B.B.-9E undoubtably for 2 reasons:
    1. He makes his appearance in Star Wars 8- The Last Jedi.
2 He has a mystique that peaks my curiosity.
I really like the “flat – top “ design head it really adds character that sets him apart from B B-8.
The droid trainer and the ability to map out a trail for him to explore about ( 39 meter range! ) how awesome is that!
Interacting with him as well as the ability to interact with R2-D2 and/or B.B.-8 will give hours of creativity bar none. All the extra – app enabled, AR ,etc! Need I say more!

  5. The Sphero Star Wars R2-D2 App Enabled Droid because my girlfriend is a real star wars person an dI think this would make an amazing Christmas gift for her!

  6. The RV and it’s my favourite because my husband and I could take turns enjoying a game we both like and laughing at each other for how silly we look

  7. The BB-8 RC because BB-8 is one of my favourite characters and is the only character missing in my star wars collection from best buy. <3

  8. I’d have to say the Lenovo Jedi Challenge VR set would be my favorite. I’ve done a bunch of different training (from fencing to classical Japanese swordsmanship) and think that lightsaber training should be the next one I do 😉

  9. R2 D2.
From my kids to now my grandkids Star wars is beloved. My 3 three year old grandson will be Darth Vader for Halloween , his choice. My 10 year old grandson has built every Lego star wars piece he can get his hands on. Their joy at having these prizes sheer ecstasy and make me and Best Buy pretty awesome.

  10. I would love the BB8 Sphero. My son and I learned coding this last summer and tried out one of them. It was great fun. We live and love the Star Wars series. Already have tickets!

  11. The Sphero Star Wars BB-8 App-Enabled Droid looks like a lot of fun. We are HUGE Star Wars fans. My husband who is disabled would be able to control this with his tablet unlike many other RCs and our kids would have so much fun chasing after It!

  12. There are very few toys that engage my son’s imagination. He loves creating and I think he would absolutely love the Little Bits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit!

  13. My favorite: Spero Star Wars R2-D2 app-enabled Droid of course! I was intrigues by the little droid when I first read the book, then fell in love when I first saw the original Star Wars. What is not to love? And being able to control him with an app is the icing on the cake!

  14. The sphero R2-D2. Nothing beats hearing my daughters get excited every time “deetoo!” comes on or shows up somewhere.

  15. My Favorite would definitely be the Sphero Star Wars R2-D2 App-Enabled Droid, because R2-D2 really was the best. He was there from the beginning (whether you count that as New Hope with Obi-Wan, or belonging to Anakin since the way-back). He never did get his memory wiped and so was the only one who remembers all the history, and I think we’ll still see that come into play because this little blue and white superhero looks like he will be with us right until the end. Go R2-D2! And if the App really does have a feature that makes that little “squeal” … so awesome!!! Plus, I’d re-watch all the movies with R2-D2 sitting there just to see his “reactions”!

  16. Would love to get the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon cause I don’t own any VR and want to try it.

  17. -star-wars-jedi-challenges-vr-headset-with-saber-beacon would be my choice cause my grandson loves it!

  18. The sphero BB-8 was what I wanted badly when it first came out- so much so that my parents, who usually don’t buy their 43y/o son star wars toys, went to a neighbouring town to pick one up. I loved the look and the way it handled, and it remains my favourite star wars piece out of my entire collection. Looking forward to adding the Sphero BB-9E to my collection this year!

  19. The Sphero R2-D2 is my favourite, because my daughter and I would have a blast driving him around our house 🙂

  20. When The Force Awakens came out, I fell in love with BB8. I recognise it was a ball with a top that booped but really it was so much more than that!! My favorite toy choice would be the Sphero Star Wars BB-8. Who wouldn’t want one rolling behind you booping away? Love it!

  21. BB-9E, also known as “BB-H8”, is like the Penguins of Madagascar. Definetly cute and cuddly, but with a good chance that it will destroy you, and everyone and everything you’ve ever loved. Also, something about that eye gives me a feeling that that it won’t open the pod bay doors for anyone named Dave.

  22. The UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot is my favourite new Star Wars toy. Stormtroopers have been a long time favourite of mine. Even when I was a kid I loved my Star Wars toys. I like see all the different types of troopers that were created for the Star Wars universe. Now as an adult, I proudly wear my stormtrooper ball cap everywhere. A stormtrooper robot , wow ! I can’t imagine.

  23. My 7 year old son is such a big Star Wars fan and I know he would love to play the new Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon. He got such cool saber moves and this would be such a surprise for him! Thank you for such an awesome contest!!

  24. My favourite would be the UB Tech Stormtrooper because I’d use it to bug my roommates and maybe teach it to fetch stuff.

  25. PROPEL SW TIE FIGHTER DRONE CLR ED this drone looks very cool and make remote controls that much more entertaining. Could provide hours of entertainment for my son who love star wars and RC’s great combination.

  26. For me it’s the Sphero R2. He’s my all time fave droid because when my Dad recorded A New Hope off a VHS we rented back in the 80’s, my brother and I wore that VHS tape out, and beep-booped R2’s lines every time we watched it! Having him in our house would keep my girls entertained for hours. An keep me and my brother entertained for hours when he visits with his kids! #familymemories

  27. Would be the app-enabled R2-D2 Droid. R2 is what helped my son enjoy Star Wars and started another chapter in our lives of a hobby where we can enjoy and play Star Wars together.

  28. Easy choose the littlebits droid inventor kit as I would be able to reach my daughter all about robotics and programming while sharing my love for all things star wars.

  29. Sphero Star Wars R2-D2. I have always loved the droids in the Star Wars movies especially R2D2. He is smart and funny.

  30. R2D2 obviously. A classic Star Wars character. But love all Star Wars. My birthday is even May the 4th:)

  31. The Star Wars BB8 RC is my favourite. I love the cute little roller, but one of my closest friends is having a Star Wars themed wedding vow renewal and would love it if BB8 could be the ring-bearer. This would be a wonderful way to do it.

  32. Okay, all of the prizes are totally making me geek out. If I have to choose only ONE favourite; Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon. How cool is that! Why? Because who wouldn’t want to train as a Jedi master??? Thanks for the chance!

  33. UB Tech Storm troopers are by far my favourite toy here. They are bad ass but yet cute at the same time.

  34. Holy Asteroids! I’d love PRIZE PACK A! What more could a Star Wars Fan and her family ask for?! I have two boys, a girl and a husband who are not only STEM GEEKS who would flip over the droids, robots and Star Wars theme but would also appreciate sharing the watch! This is like Christmas in one shot! BB8 is my boys’ favourite!

  35. Definitely the vtech BB-8 Smart watch! Would be a fun way to teach my son time management and responsibility, since BB-8 is his favourite and he would have a watch cooler than daddy’s (who collects watches)
