Are printers really necessary in 2018

As the digital age gained momentum, people dreamed of the day when the world would go paperless. Well it didn’t happen. We still use paper for many, many tasks. Printing and scanning are still very much a part of everyone’s life. Therefore, we can all benefit by having a great printer available whenever we need it.

We sent out all of the printers that we are giving away in this contest (Maxify MB2720, Pixma TS 6120 and 5120, Pixma TS3129) for an honest review from our bloggers. Each of these machines receive glowing endorsements from people just like you, who find that a great printer in the home is a necessity.

 

Canon printers are the perfect tool for a million tasks

Okay a million may be an exaggeration, but if you win this contest you will use your new Canon printer for a lot of different tasks. Scan your bills and receipts to keep an e-record of your expenses. Print reports and assignments with professional quality.

Importantly, Canon printers are great at colour printing! One thing that we all should do more is make better use of the photographs that we take on a regular basis. Today’s Canon printers are fantastic at printing photos. I know I don’t do this enough. My photos stay on my phone, and rarely get seen. However, when I do print one out, I am so glad that I didā€”we are visual animals and we capture these images to enjoy them.   31. I am a 67 year old Senior on a pension. I have used many different printer’s in the workplace and at home. My favorite printer has always been a Canon. A Canon Pixma to be precise. My last Pixma was a 5 cartridge printer. It had two trays, one tray for photographs and the other tray for printer paper. I decided that I should buy a second one a year latter, so that I would have a spare. Staples informed me that the printer I had was discontinued. I was devastated. I had produced gallery prints on this machine. I did not want a new model! Staples looked all over Canada for another one, sadly, they were not successful. Okay, not to worry, I had a very good working printer and 6 sets of cartridges. If it broke down I would get it fixed. Problem solved. Right? In December, my doctor informed me that he wanted me to move back to Victoria due to health reason’s. Everything was put into storage. The Pixma went into a heated storage which they called a “Vault”, along with my computer equipment, paintings and some camera equipment. Three months passed and I finally found a place to move to and my things could come out of storage. It would be like Christmas! The moving van arrived with all my possessions. Items were missing from storage. My printer was GONE! Friends say, ” Buy a new printer.” My comment is, “With what, I live on $1495 a month. I spent all my savings on relocating back to Victoria . Taking photo’s has been in my life for 45 year’s, it has not been easy with advancing arthritis in hands, back and feet along with 3 botched up eye surgeries which has left me unable to drive at night. This getting old is for the birds! I do not need a printer but I want one very badly. Thank you. Lydia

  33. I would use the printer for printing schedules, flyers, pamphlets, and information packages. Also pictures for exhibitions, stalls, and stands. With the hope that it will allow people to be more informed about their neighbors, and those of other faiths in their city.

  34. Would love to have a Canon wireless printer as “Canon doesn’t make what everyone else makes” It is one of the best brand in the market which has high quality plus they affordable. I always wanted to have a Canon printer because of its high print quality . As we are new to Canada it would not only help my children in their school projects and studies but also me as I am a student too and I have so many projects every week to print and scan.   35. I will print a great variety of many many printable things that can be printed on a canon printer.PRINT PRINT PRINTETY PRINT ! and then I will buy more supplies and more paper and printable media, and then i promise (under duress) to pay to get it repaired after the warranty is up.

  44. My little 100lbs dog got caught in the wires just after Easter, the printer smashed on the floor dented the hardwood, it still works but not very well. This wireless printer would be perfect for Whisky the dog and us, it’s a win win.

  45. My current printer needs to have computer hooked up in order to print. Very inconvenient. I would benefit from having a brand new wireless printer by not having to go up and down the stairs to collect printed documents.

  46. If I really get my hands on a Canon printer I would definitely love to get crazy with same textured paper color prints of my choicest photographs, since I love Photography. I would try to get as close to the canvas feel as I can. That would be wicked man!

  48. I would use this printer to print school assignments. I would no longer have to go to the school’s library!. The other great thing is this printer is great in printing in color. For lab reports we always have to print detailed graphs. Being able to print in color would make it easier to distinguish between them. Thank you.
