What should you look for when buying a dash cam like the many offered by Nextbase? Perhaps you want some protection for you and your family while driving at the lowest price. Nextbase has a wide range of possibilities with their series: 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Alternatively, you may want something that is future-friendly, has the newest technology, and tons of features. They just announced their newest model: the 622GW 4K dash cam. Take some time to learn about Nextbase dash cams to return here to enter for a chance to win one of five that we are giving away.

What are you looking for in a dash cam?

I personally don’t own a dash cam. It’s not that I don’t care about the advantages they offer, I just haven’t got around to buying one yet. But if I was, I would want something in the middle of the Nextbase series: probably a 322GW or 422GW. Perhaps it’s that the review done by Dave Neufeld was extremely persuasive? Or somehow it resonated with me in a way the other Nextbase articles have not. After all, I think all the writers did a great job examining the different models and clearly explaining what they liked and did not like about each: pros and cons. I think what is more likely is that I just like the 422GW most because I feel it’s right for me in a way that I can’t quite explain.

Nextbase keeps raising the bar on what a dash cam can do

Not that I am averse to perfection. I have not seen the new model that was just announced today, the 622GW; nor have I sent it for review—Nextbase haven’t sent me samples yet. But judging from the specifications and features, it is a step above the rest. The features include an impressively clear 4K image at 30 fps, image stabilization, and Amazon Alexa built in. I love that if you are involved in an accident, this dash cam will register the most recent footage as high priority and not let it get recorded over.

So, now your options are bigger. Of course, if you win one of the five prizes in this contest, which include a 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models, then you can learn from experience what you want in a dash cam. First though, you will need to think about which one has the features you need.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy, but you can only enter once on this post and once on the article about the new 622GW dash cam. In one comment below each article tell us which features you absolutely need in a dash cam, and which Nextbase model is therefore your favourite. You can do some research before deciding by reading the articles or looking at the product pages (I put all the links you need above).

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will select five (5) winners and randomly assign them to receive one of the five prizes: a Nextbase 122, 222, 322GW, 422GW, and 522GW models. Each prize also comes with a hardwire kit and a carry case that includes a 32 GB microSD card.

This contest runs from August 27th until September 10th.

Remember, you can only enter once. However, you have friends and family who can also benefit by owning one of these Nextbase dash cams, so please share this contest with them.

  1. Definitely needs to be high quality and having night vision would be great! In that case the 522GW would be the dash cam for me!

  2. I am in the market for a dashcam with HD video capability. Model 522GW appears to be the best one for HD! But all models look great! A handy item to have these days!

Thank you for hosting this awesome contest!

  3. the 422. I like that it has night vision mode and Alexa built to give hands-free control.my an getting his first car and his always on the road at night so this would be perfect for him .What great giveaway you guys rock best buy .

  4. I think the Nextbase 622GW 4K Dash Cam would be right for me. As I do a lot of night driving the enhanced night vision would be a great asset.

  5. The 4K quality, emergency 911, and night vision capability mades this device superior over others in this price point. Great contests once again.

  6. I like the 422. Night vision and Alexa is definitely missing for me and could make a world of difference

  7. The feature I would love is “Intelligent parking feature”! I absolutely am terrible with parallel parking

  8. I dont really want alexa or anything in my car and I’d rather it only recorded due to issues rather than all the time. For that I think 122 is my fav

  9. Superior night vision is an absolute must. A lot of accidents occur in low visibility so having a cam that can record in high detail is essential. The Nextbase 622GW 4K fits the bill with its improved sensor and larger pixels for greater light capturing.

  10. The night vision feature in my mind is the most important. With the auto on off with ignition, the 322GW would be brilliant.

  11. An absolute must have is a clear image.. otherwise what’s the point? This is why I think the 633GW would be my favourite dash cam.

  12. Good clear, stable visual quality would be the first option. I’m looking for good clear play back when/if it is ever needed. 522 for me.

  13. I love the night vision especially on the 522GW and Click&Go Pro on all the models. It’s great that you can add on a rear camera module as well.

  14. I would need a Nextbase Dash cam to capture any issues i have on the road! And high quality like 1080p is important or you won’t be able to see anything useful anyways! My desired version would have to be the 522GW.

  15. Having a dash can that records in 1080 quality or higher is a must. My favourite camera of choice would be the 522GW

  16. I would love to have a dashcam, especially as a woman driving alone, for security and backup. All the Nextbase models are great, but I really like the 422GW because of the built-in Alexa and autosync (reports automatically sent to my phone) for peace of mind.
