Garmin dash cams are reliable and easy to use. You likely know how useful they are. Dash cams have gone from a “nice-to-have” to a “must-have” addition to your vehicle. Car owners, truck owners—even motorcycle owners—realize the value of capturing the many unexpected events that happen on the road on digital video. Garmin has a wide selection of dash cams, like the Garmin 47, 57, 67W, and mini all to be given away in this contest. Read on to learn two of my favourite features and for a chance to win one of these Garmin dash cams.

Garmin dash cams provide clear and detailed recordings

Drivers want a dash cam that reliably captures high-quality video and high-definition still recordings. There’s a lot of factors that can affect the quality of the footage: fast moving cars, varying light and weather conditions can make capturing good videos and images even more difficult. There is a lot of technology built into Garmin dash cams to ensure quality images are captured and stored, and can easily be shared afterwards.

When looking for a dash cam, look for ones with the right resolution that can give you quality footages. With the right resolution, dash cams can give you a clear and detailed picture of the road that captures important details, such as plate numbers. Garmin dash cams have the standard 1440p HD and 1080p HD resolutions that, combined with its Clarity HDR optics feature, ensure you get clear and detailed footages day and night.

Save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault

The videos and still photos your dash cam takes help provide a clear picture of incidents that happen on the road, so having a place online to save all of them just makes sense. Most people want a dash cam so they can show recordings of road incidents as proof, whether for insurance or police purposes, and your dash cam should make them readily available for you when you need them.

With Garmin dash cams you can quickly and easily upload, manage, and share videos online using its online storage vault. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours. If you want to store your videos for a longer period of time, each Garmin dash cam comes with its own subscription plan.

Through the online storage vault, you can access your videos using your Garmin app, where you can view, trim, and export your videos to save on your phone. What I also like about this feature is that you can easily share your video with anyone simply by providing them a link to that video.

  1. The number 1 reason why I LOVE the dash cams is because in my city of Edmonton, Ab, there are ALOT and I mean ALOT of bad drivers that can cause accidents and have caused accidents.
Everyday while driving to and from work I see so many bad drivers out there and because I am the type of person always think ahead and be prepared. With that motto of mine, I would LOVE to have a dash cam to record video while driving so that if there was an accident that I was in and it’s not my fault, there would be NO doubt that it wasn’t my fault and having a video to prove it as well shows how bad the driver was.
In this day and age, Video is EVERYTHING now in order to prove one thing or another. There’s no more “taken someone’s word” anymore and so video footage has played a huge part in today’s age.
Being the type of a blue collar worker it’s hard to get ahead now since everything litterly even green onions for example, has gone up in prices and making purchases now has to be “needed” in decision making. I e always wanted a dash cam but I was never able to purchase one. Winning a dash cam would make me so happy and I would be so greatful.
    Thank you

  2. Would love to have this for more safety for my wife when she’s driving alone, also can’t beat a Garmin product

  3. This would be great, lots of crazy stuff going on out on the roads these days. Thank you for the opportunity.

  4. For me, it’s all about protecting myself and whoever else is in the car. Being able to record from either the front end or back end of your car is huge especially if you’re going on long trips. You want to make sure you’re covered on all ends so there’s no stress I’d a problem ever occurs.

  5. My husband commutes and would love one of these for recording accidents but also some of the sights he sees.

  6. I love that the videos are saved instantly and this would be perfect for our cross Canada road trip we are planning to do this year!

  7. Would make me feel safer on the roads day and night and could be beneficial in the case of an accident or recording impaired drivers, reckless drivers etc.

  8. A feature of Garmin dash cams that is most important to me is the ability to record clear footage in 1440p HD or 1080p even at night! This would benefit my driving experience by making me feel safer on the road in the evenings and in poor weather.

  9. I really like that I can share the videos that are saved with family and friends. I just converted a van into a camper van and a dash cam would make my cross Canada trip safer and I’d be able to share fun videos that my dashcam records.

  10. I like that you can access your videos using your Garmin app, where you can view, trim, and export your videos to save on your phone. Makes it easier to review any incidents and help with driving experience for safety and accident reporting.

  11. The 1080p HD resolutions is a wonderful feature. This would be useful in watching my son’s driving habits

  12. The 1080p HD resolutions is a great feature and would help in any accident or other driving problems.

  13. Great video resolution is one of the most important dash cam features to look for. You need to be able to accurately see details if or when you ever need to extract video from the camera.
