MEET THE OCULUS RIFT S AND QUEST VR HEADSETS

Enjoy immersive VR gaming at home and on the go using the Oculus Rift S and Quest VR. Designed in partnership with Lenovo, the Rift S offers PC-powered gameplay for heart-pounding fun when paired with a desktop or laptop computer; while the Quest, an all-in-one VR gaming headset, doesn’t need a computer at all. Set up the mobile app and step into a virtual world from anywhere.

See the action unfold through next-generation optics, and lose yourself in the experience. Updated designs mean headsets are more comfortable and secure during action-packed gaming session. They’re easy to set up, so you can get gaming with friends right out of the box, using the controllers – no external sensors required.

Select from a growing list of hundreds of exclusive games in the Oculus Store for the Rift S; and original games and experiences for Quest, like Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series.

COMFORTABLE AND SECURE FIT

No matter how long or intense your gaming session is, both the Oculus Rift S and the Quest are designed to keep up and put you at the centre of the virtual action. Get going easily right out of the box – no external sensors or complicated set-up required.

The Oculus Rift S has a redesigned halo headband that stays securely and comfortably in place with a twist of the fit wheel, so it won’t move about, even when you turn your head quickly to react while gaming or get especially active during an action-packed game.

Meanwhile, with the Quest, you can do IPD adjustments to customize the focus. They even come with a glasses spacer so you can wear the headset comfortably with glasses. Rx inserts are also available for purchase separately.

INTERACT WITH THE VIRTUAL ACTION

Once fitted on your head, enjoy bright, bold, and vivid pictures thanks to an improved design that lets you start playing faster. The Rift S offers stunning graphics via the sharp lenses and next-generation optics; while the Quest has next-generation lenses, too, that result in reduced glare and a wider field-of-view.

Play with intuitive and realistic precision as your hands and gestures are transported into the game, and you view the scene through sharp lenses.

Integrated audio and built-in positional audio means you can use either headset without headphones and still hear all around you, whether it’s teammates if you’ve opted to play with friends, or someone in the virtual world sneaking up behind you. Invite friends and manage everything through the Dash or your PC with the Rift S.

ACCURATE TRACKING AS YOU MOVE

Get accurate tracking as you play games, and lose yourself in the experience, whether you’re fighting enemies or grabbing items as you explore virtual universes. The updated Oculus Touch controllers make hands-on action and interaction even more exciting.

Using the controllers, all of your hand movements and gestures are transported into the game, while Insight Tracking instantly translates movements into VR, regardless of which way you’re facing. You can both see gestures and feel the rumble of every impact.

Room scale tracking in the Rift S is possible with external sensors, so you can look around, duck for cover, and more, without worrying about bumping into things. Move about your space with freedom, in any direction, as you play. Positional tracking and Oculus Guardian with the Quest allows you to comfortably play in any space, big or small, and while both sitting or standing, while staying clear of nearby objects.

  2. This article states that “Room scale tracking in the Rift S is possible with external sensors…”

The Rift S has inside-out tracking just like the Quest. You don’t need external sensors. The only difference in terms of room scale is that the Rift S is still tethered to a computer meaning you’re limited by the length of your cable.
