Bethesda E3

Welcome to Bethesdaland

Bethesda Softworks always knows how to throw a good E3 event. This year they created “Bethesdaland,” a carnival-themed experience featuring a Ferris wheel, cotton candy, candy apples, balloon artists, and much more. After a few hours of enjoying the sights and sounds it was off to the main stage to see what Bethesda is bringing to gamers over the next year. Here are my highlights!

Skyrim Nintendo SwitchThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Bethesda had two huge announcements for their massively popular action-RPG. First, while we knew a version was coming to Nintendo Switch, at E3 we found out Link is making an appearance! That’s right, using the Link amiibo you’ll be able to play as Link in Skyrim, including welding his legendary sword. How awesome is that?

The second Skyrim announcement is that a new version is coming to PlayStation VR. Not many details were given at the show, but imaging exploring this vast world in VR is very exciting!

Dishonored Death of the Outside

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

Dishonored is getting a new stand-alone game and it’s coming September 15th! The game focuses on Daud, Empress Jessamine Kaldwin’s murder, and Billie Lurk, his former second-in-command from the game’s The Knife of Dunwall DLC. Together, they reunite to try and take down an Outsider. The game will feature all-new powers and abilities for Billie, and face new and returning foes. I liked what we saw in the trailer, so can’t wait to see more!

The Evil Within 2The Evil Within 2

Now here’s a game I’m really excited about. I love great horror games, and The Evil Within definitively delivered just that. At E3, Bethesda announced the much-anticipated sequel, releasing on the appropriate date of Friday, October 13th, 2017. In this next entry, we once again take control of Sebastian Castellanos, who is now struggling with his losses from the first game. Instead of running from the sources of his nightmares, Sebastian has decided to confront them. In the trailer we saw him confront many new horrendous creatures and it looks even more terrifying than the original!

Wolfenstein 2

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Bethesda ended their press conference in a big way with the reveal of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. BJ Blazkowicz is back and continuing his quest to take down the evil Nazi regime. This first-person shooter is full of action with not only the regime to take down, but also monsters and machines. Wolfenstein is one of the most visually impressive trailers I’ve seen all week, so fans should be really excited.

Stay tuned for non-stop E3 news!
