I think computers are exciting! They have transformed the world, of course, but personally I truly enjoy using them, for writing, photo and video editing, creating music, and for doing tons of research for work and for fun. My computer at work is functional, but what I would really love at my desk is the newest computer from Microsoft, the Surface Studio (I hope my superiors at Best Buy read this!). You can have a chance to win this amazing technology by entering this contest. That’s right, the prize is a Surface Studio complete with the versatile control offered by the Surface Dial.

Surface Studio powers your creativity

Microsoft says this computer turns your desk into a studio, and that should give you an idea of how transformative this will be in your home. Here are the top 4 features that impress me:

Screen: the brilliant huge PixelSense touchscreen display (28 inches) has the space to enlarge your photos, spreadsheets, video console or whatever you have on the computer. Bigger is better for so many things. It makes editing easier. It makes drawing and seeing beyond conception to completion immeasurably easier. Basically, it makes creativity explode!

Power: outstanding graphics powered by NVIDEA and superior future friendly performance from the 6th generation Intel processors ensures that your applications respond to your every touch, and every click.

Versatile Positioning: unlike most computers or monitors, you choose how to position it with the Zero Gravity Hinge. Be a traditionalist and position it in front of you. Be an artist and position it like a sketch pad. You choose any angle that allows you to interact on your terms.

Inspired Digital Tools: perhaps the most innovative addition to a computer interface in many years, the Surface Dial will astound you. On the desk it looks like a hockey puck (to a Canadian like me it does) but position it on the screen of the Surface Studio to produce menus and control options galore: the screen almost comes alive with new creative possibilities.

Which of these features of the Microsoft Surface Studio impresses you the most? How will this computer affect your life? Enter this contest and you may actually get the chance to find out.

  1. Being able to tether my camera to a large screen for macro photography. Makes checking focus and composition a lot easier.

  2. Favorite feature is the Dial for scroll, zoom and configure extra key inputs into Dial and using sketchbook turns the dial into colour wheel with three rings for hue, saturation and luminance.

    PS
This reminds me of a futuristic Etch-a-Sketch.. 🙂

  3. My heart would explode if a family member won this, none of them are into this kind of tech! It would make one hell of a Christmas present though!

  4. Thanks for all these contests you’ve got going! I feel like there was nothing for a couple months, and now they are all showing up at once! It’s great that you do this for your customers.

  5. There doesn’t seem to be a contest post on your Facebook page where one could leave a comment. Is it okay than to just leave a comment among the general visitor comments?
