 It’s one thing to read about the amazing new TV technology that’s out there today, it’s another to experience it for yourself. From crystal clear resolution that’s more than four times better than your current HD TV, to eye-poppingly rich and bright HDR colour, Samsung’s best TVs were on display in Calgary at a recent event.

 Two new KS series 4K HDR televisions are launching from Samsung, and Best Buy is carrying both. I was invited to Best Buy HQ in Burnaby, BC, to take a first look at them, and to provide you with a review of the experience. Roku is releasing a new Streaming Stick device in Canada this month, and aside from its diminutive size and powerful performance, a neat added feature is the ability to use the free Roku app on your smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android) to listen to the audio of whatever you’re watching using.

While Roku and Insignia have been collaborating on TVs for some time, the addition of a 4K TV to their shared stable is huge, and the sets will only be available at Best Buy.
