Instant Pot Pressure CookerMost people have heard of pressure cookers by now, but you might not really know how they work or why they make cooking food so quick, easy, and delicious.

A pressure cooker works by trapping steam inside a vessel of some sort. The trapped steam increases the pressure inside, and that raises the internal temperature so food cooks more quickly. When you’re done cooking all you have to do is release the pressure by slowly opening the valve on top and you’re ready to eat.

One of the biggest appeals of pressure cookers is that they can cook your food faster than conventional methods, so dinner can be on the table in an instant. Although these devices have been around since 1679 when a physicist invented an airtight cooker that used steam to cook food, it’s only been in the past few years that pressure cookers have gone mainstream. The reason for that? It’s all because one man in Ottawa invented the Instant Pot.

Thanks to the Instant Pot, the pressure cooker has become a staple in kitchens everywhere, and there are many good reasons why. Take the Instant Pot 7-in-1 pressure cooker for example. This kitchen wonder gives you 7 different ways to cook your food, and has so many great features that will make you reach for it time and time again.

The Instant Pot 7-in-1 has 14 built-in smart programs

Instant Pot Smart FunctionsWant to make soup in your pressure cooker? Just hit the soup button. How about porridge or rice? There’s a button on the Instant Pot 7-1 pressure cooker for that too. There are 14 built-in smart functions in all, and they are displayed on a large, easy to use panel that makes it really simple to cook whatever you want. You can even make yogurt with a touch of a button.

Instant Pot lets you plan your meals in advance

With an Instant Pot on your counter top, you can play your meals up to 24 hours in advance. That means you can turn your Instant Pot on when you leave for work or even the day before, and your meal will be ready for you when you want it.

Pressure cooking saves energy and increases nutritional value

Because pressure cooking captures the energy inside the pot and uses that to cook your food, it uses less energy. You also lose less of the vitamins and minerals because of the way it cooks. Large, easy-to-use control panel with 14 built-in smart programs.

Meal prep takes less time in a pressure cooker

beef stewOne of the things I love most about the Instant Pot is how quick it makes meal prep. If I’m making a strew I can brown the beef right in the pot using the Sauté button, and then I just layer everything else I’m adding, from carrots to potatoes and beef stock, right in the pot and turn it on. That’s about ½ hour including cooking time for a meal that normally takes me over an hour and a half from start to finish.

Wendy T from Powell River, BC has this to say about the Instant Pot 7-1 pressure cooker.

Instant Pot 7-in-1 is Revolutionary and life-changing!

I hate cooking but I love eating. I have bought so many things, hoping they would inspire me to cook but nothing has (high end pots and pans, slow cooker, new stove, etc.) I joined a few Instant Pot Facebook groups and read about it before I purchased it. I wondered if it could possibly be as great as it sounded. Well, it is! I have made beef stew twice, Mongolian Beef, sautéed vegetables and rice so far. Black bean dish tonight. I love everything about it. I am not a techie and I’d be terrified to own one of the old pressure cookers but this thing is idiot proof. Plus, even though I don’t keep any appliances on my counter, I like the look of the Instant Pot so I’m not hiding it away – plus there’s no point in putting it away ’cause I’m going to use it all the time. I haven’t used any pots and pans since I got it! I’m just thrilled with it. I wish I could buy stock in the company!

Wendy highlights another great feature of the Instant Pot 7-1: it’s compact and easy on the eyes, so you’ll keep it out on your counter to use anytime.

Rob B from Calgary, Alberta has bought three Instant Pot 7-in-1 pressure cookers so far.

How did we get along without it!!!

We have had the first one for over a year now and the second for 6 months. They are used everyday, sometimes several times for large gatherings, and they never disappoint. There are several cookbooks available as well as online groups that share recipes. We have purchased 4 more for children and family. If you don’t buy one of these it’s your loss! Three from Best Buy!

Quite a few of the members have 2 of them It has a stainless steel insert and the pressure cooker function is very safe and foolproof. I highly recommend this.

Anna from Petersborough, Ontario has already noticed how the Instant Pot 7-in-1 cuts cooking time.

Awesome Kitchen Appliance

We’ve used our Instant Pot for two weeks now and have made a number of meals. It cuts cooking time down drastically for dishes we usually make in a slow cooker. It also extracts more flavour out of things like chili and beef stew. We made stock in a quarter of the time and pork chops with gravy were far more tender than our stove-top method. We also cooked dry beans in 30 mins without an overnight soak and they were perfectly tender. We find the Instant Pot to be very well built and sturdy. It’s important to read the directions thoroughly! Keep the seal and top of the insert clean at all times to insure it seals. The sauté, delay start and keep warm features work great. We had never used a pressure cooker so followed recipes and cooking times included with the pot until we got the hang of it. There is also an active Facebook group and Youtube videos. Some of the videos are useful. We also like that the Instant Pot will replace a couple of our appliances.

As you can see, there are a lot of people who think Instant Pot is amazing, and I’m one of them. You can pick up your own Instant Pot 7-1 pressure cooker right now on Best Buy.
